Who must use the EVV?

PHASE 1: Personal care services must use EVV by January 1, 2021.

Personal care programs include;

• Attendant Services
• Brain Injury
• Children's Personal Care
• Choices for Care (including Flexible Choices & Moderate Needs Group)

EVV is required every time a service is provided, unless services are provided entirely outside of the home or if the care provider lives in the home with the care recipient.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Medicaid program funds cannot be used to pay for services if EVV is not used to record in-home personal care services. Starting July 1st, 2022, ARIS Solutions cannot process timesheets without matching EVV data.

PHASE II: Home Health Services must use EVV by January 1, 2023.
