15 September 2021

What: The fifth event in the series will focus on Vermonters who have COBRA health insurance. The federal government has been paying COBRA premiums since April, but the subsidy ends on September 30. Vermonters on COBRA might be able to save thousands of dollars by switching to Vermont Health Connect.

When: Wednesday, September 15 – 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Where: (Attendees may also use this link to ask questions before the event.)

Who: Representatives from the Department of Vermont Health Access.

  • The event features live captions to support an inclusive environment for attendees who are hard of hearing, connecting from a loud space, or who may be speakers of other languages.  Attendees may enable live captioning by clicking the closed captioning button in the bottom right corner of the video player after the event has begun.
  • Recordings of the first four Town Halls can be found in the Vermont Communications Toolkit for the American Rescue Plan.
  • Mark the calendar: The sixth Health Insurance Town Hall will be September 29. It will focus on the upcoming Special Enrollment Period deadline. October 1 is the last day most uninsured Vermonters can sign up for 2021 health insurance.
